Overview
Pumori, it lies in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas. It is pyramid shape mountain which lies in west site of the Mountain Everest. The meaning of Pumari (which is Sherpa language) is “Unmarried Daughter”
This Expedition take around 35 to 40 days , in which 16 to 18 days are set aside to climb the mountain. It start with fly from Lukla

Itinerary
The company representative will pick you up from the airport and drop you at the hotel.
Today we will spend most of our day sightseeing around some of the world heritage sites of UNESCO inside Kathmandu valley. Meanwhile, the company will complete all the necessary paper works and make other preparations required for Pumori Expedition.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will go to the airport for a scenic flight to Lukla - the starting point of the trek. Lukla is the gateway to Khumbu and entire Everest region. After landing at Lukla we start our trek by following the trail that is gradual uphill trekking through the bank of Dudh Koshi river. Our trek passes along several mani walls until we arrive at Phakding.
Duration: 3-4 hours
After breakfast, we will start our journey to EBC and make our way to Namche Bazaar. Walking uphill, we will pass Sagarmatha National Park along with sherpa villages. We will walk 7-8 kilometers which will take around 6 hours including all the stops to reach Namche Bazaar which is also known as the gateway to Everest.
Today, We will acclimatize and prepare our bodies for the trek to high altitudes. You will explore Namche Bazaar with your guide and will also hike up to Everest View Hotel to catch the panoramic views of Mt. Everest.
On this day, Leaving Namche, We start our day following the trail to Tengboche. This route makes you feel like one of the most scenic hiking days which opens up the stunning views of Mt.Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Lhotse. This route takes around 5 hours with a 10-11 kilometers walk.
After having breakfast, we will continue our journey to reach Dingboche. This route will be gaining high altitude with majestic views of mountains and deep valleys. The walking distance is 11-12 kilometers with around 5 hours of duration.
On this day, We will be getting closer to Everest Base Camp. This route becomes bare and covered with snow as we get near Lobuche. It takes about 5 hours with an 8-9 kilometers walk.
Today, we will stay in Lobuche to acclimate to the rising elevation. And we will explore the surrounding areas of Lobuche.
On this day, we will trek through the Khumbu Glacier, the world's highest glacier to arrive at Gorakshep. We will leave our belongings there and hike up to the base camp. After exploring and witnessing the highest mountain in the world right in front of us, we will head back to Gorakshep. The whole trek will take around 7-8 hours with 14-15 kilometers of walk.
Today we will continue our trek and head toward Pumori Base Camp. From Gorakshep, we will follow a rising trail that leads us to Pumori Base Camp. Once at the campsite our Sherpa crew will quickly set up the base camp and start making necessary preparations for further climbing of Mt. Pumori.
After achieving our target summit, Mt Pumori, we clean the area, collect our garbages and pack our gears and prepare ourselves for the return journey. After breakfast, we descend on the same trail that passes through Gorakshep and Lobuche. Our trail from Lobuche descends gently as we pass along the village of Pheriche before arriving back to Dingboche.
After breakfast, we leave Dingboche and follow the trail that descends to Tengboche. our trail climbs for a while through the beautiful pine forest to arrive at Tengboche for an overnight stay.
On this day, we will head back to Namche Bazaar from Tengboche. We will grasp some more scenery of the Everest region along the way. We have to walk for 5-6 hours with 9-10 kilometers of trek duration including all the stops.
The last day of our trek leads from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. Our trail descends passing through dense forest area filled with rhododendron, oak and pine trees. A final uphill climb of approximately about forty-five minutes will bring us back to Lukla.
After breakfast, we will take a scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and we will transfer you to your hotel.
On this day, you can explore Kathmandu valley more and you can also go shopping to buy souvenirs for your family and friends.
