Overview

Annapurna I is the 10th highest peak in the World. It is consider as the world’s most dangerous mountain to climb. The west and northwestern slopes are bound by glaciers.

Starting from Nayapol, following the the trail, we trek all the way to Lete , leaving the trail we head west towards Annapurna North Base Camp past Thulobugin, Hum-Khola & Miristi Khola.

Itinerary

The company will pick you up from the airport and drive you to the hotel.

Today we will spend most of our day sightseeing around some of the world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. Meanwhile, the company will complete all the necessary paper works and make other preparations required for Annapurna Expedition.

After breakfast, we will begin our journey and you can either take a flight(30min) or drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara as per your choice.

Today we leave Pokhara and take another short drive for about 1-1.30 hours to reach Nayapul - the starting point of the trek. From Nayapul, we start to trek on the trail that goes along the Modi Khola river valley that continues through beautifully terraced farmlands. It takes around 3-4 hours from Nayapul to arrive at Tikhedhunga.

After breakfast, we will cross a small stream before climbing a stone staircase to reach Ulleri. Our trek continues through dense rhododendron-filled forest that will lead us to Ghorepani with a 5-6 hours trek. We can enjoy the magnificent views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchre (Fish-Tail), Hiun Chuli and other surrounding high mountains from Ghorepani.

Early in the morning, we will hike up to the Poonhill which is the best viewpoint of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Machhapuchre, Hiun Chuli and many more mountain ranges. After enjoying the beautiful sunrise, we will descend back to Ghorepani and from there we will descend steeply for crossing a suspension bridge over the Kaligandaki river. Our trail continues for 5-6 hours to reach Tatopani, the natural hot spring.

From Tatopani, our trek goes along the Kali Gandaki river and ascends gradually as we pass through the magnificent waterfall of Rupche Chahara. From there, our trek continues along the dusty trail that leads through deep gorges. We will continue to trek for 6-7 hours until we arrive at the village of Ghasa for our overnight stay.

After breakfast, we leave Ghasa and follow a rising trail that climbs for 4-5 hours to reach Lete. Our trek climbs through beautiful forests with incredible views of surrounding mountains and beautiful valleys. Our trek continues until we arrive at Lete.

After breakfast, we leave Lete and trek over the trail that climbs further to harsh alpine vegetation. After 5-6 hours of trekking, we will arrive at Thulo Bugin where there is a campsite to stay at night.

After breakfast, we leave our campsite at Thulo Bugin and follow the trail that climbs gradually over the loose and rocky route for a few hours. After resting every now and then on the way, we trek for 5-6 hours until we arrive at a campsite near Hum Khola.

After leaving our campsite at Hum Khola, we follow the trail that goes with several ups and downs. After 5-6 hours of trekking, we approach Miristi Khola where there are good camping grounds. Once we arrive at Miristi Khola, We will set up the camps for our overnight camping.

After breakfast, we leave our campsite at Miristi Khola and continue our trek to reach Annapurna North Base Camp. After 5-6 hours of trekking, we will arrive at the campsite where our Sherpa crew will set up the base camp and make necessary preparations for climbing.

After achieving the summit of Mt.Annapurna, We will start to get back. We will clean the area, collect our garbages, pack our items and then prepare ourselves for the return journey. We start to retrace our steps on the same trail that heads back towards Miristi Khola. We will camp at Miristi Khola for the overnight stay.

After having breakfast, from Miristi Khola, we continue to retrace our steps on the same trail that passes through Hum Khola. From there we descend steeply for 5-6 hours and trek to reach Thulo Bugin Campsite.

After breakfast, we leave our campsite at Thulo Bugin and follow the same trail and trek for 4-5 hours until we arrive back in Lete.

From Lete, our trail descends following the same trail until we arrive back in Ghasa. Our trek offers spectacular views of the Annapurna regions with beautiful valleys. We will trek for 5-6 hours until we reach Ghasa.

From Ghasa, our trail descends steeply until we enter back to Kali Gandaki Valley - the deepest gorge in the world as we head towards Tatopani. We will trek for 5-6 hours until we reach a natural hot water spring where we can relax after arriving at Tatopani.

From Tatopani, We begin our last day of trekking that continues on the trail that descends down to Beni. From Beni, we will take two hours of drive to reach back to Pokhara. You will be transferred to the hotel once we arrive at Pokhara. You can either rest at the hotel or go for a walk in the beautiful city of Pokhara.

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara which takes around 5-6 hours to reach Kathmandu. Once reaching Kathmandu valley, we will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 54 :
Free day

On this day, we can explore the Kathmandu valley and go sightseeing around different historical places. You can also go for shopping to buy souvenirs for your family and friends.

The company will drop you at the airport as per your flight schedule.
